WoW Item Upgrades
Item upgrades, also referred as "upping" are items or enchantments that can be used to increase the stats of weapons and armor. These upgrade components add a certain number of points to a level gauge for the item, with their cost increasing with their popularity.
A perfectly formed version of this armor is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community for its ability to reduce weapon damage.
Type-restricted upgrades
The upgrading process is an essential aspect of the crafting process. They can improve the quality of an item as well as make it stronger or weaker and even provide an added benefit. They can also alter the item's appearance. item upgrading are universal while others have specific rules for weapons and armor. A bad upgrade can destroy the weapon that was previously fantastic, and even make it useless.
In general you can only upgrade an item of equipment to the level of its most advanced counterpart. You are able to upgrade helms only to the highest level. Weapons can be upgraded to the equivalent of a sword. This does not increase the weapon's power of damage and can reduce the value of its trade.
You can upgrade an item using flightstones or crests. The amount of each depends on the level of the item and slot. For example upgrading to a sword will cost more flightstones than upgrading bracers or a cloak. There are also discounts on the number of crests and flightstones needed to upgrade an item.
The diamond-shaped indicator on the item is filled up when it is upgraded. Each step raises Tier level by one-third. The maximum Tier level is Tier 3. It could take a few upgrades to get to this level, based on the item. It is essential to keep in mind that any procedure that may be used to mount a disk must not be running during the process of upgrading. Additionally, you should ensure that the upgraded disk is not being used as a system disk.
Enchantment is a feature that allows you to transform white or Common items into rare or blue items. Eleanor's Enchantment Shop in the Capital District is where you can do this. This process does not add gem or rune slots to the equipment however it does alter its size. It increases the equipment's size by two categories smaller. For instance an example, an armored Stormtrooper armor is Medium and Blaster Pistol Small.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be utilized on any type of equipment. This includes weapons, armor and trinkets. Upgrade components can be obtained from Random drops or side quests. Universal upgrades can be temporary or permanent and can also be combined with Power-Ups. They may be linear or branching.
Universal Upgrades start when "internal technology" can provide sentient beings new capabilities they are not likely to develop naturally. Examples of internal technology are implants or prostheses. This type of upgrade is different from medical internal technology that seeks to restore natural capabilities. It's the beginning of the process that will alter civilizations completely. The universal upgrade may be a lengthy and complex process. However the process is divided into two types: full success and partial failure.
It's similar to the manner that resort upgrades are carried out at Disney or Universal. In the case of WDW, they usually happen because of operational issues like rooms being overbooked or not available. In the case of Universal, this could be to transfer guests from one resort to another one that is open. Jewels

Jewel tiers are determined by the number of modifiers they possess. Higher-tier jewels have more modifiers than lower-tier ones. The primary effect of a jewel is determined by the tier it's, while the secondary effect is randomly generated; players can use luck potions to increase the probability of having better secondary effects.
Jewels can be incorporated into items with matching sockets similar to other upgrade components. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both boost power however, a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's strong attacks. Jewels can be placed in all armor, weapon and accessory slots. They can also be used with exotic trinkets or trinkets of lower rarity that require a slot.
Like other DM mechanics, gems can help to ensure that items are special to their owners. Jewels offer a variety upgrade options that let players customize and find the best combination for their needs. They can also upgrade their existing equipment using new jewels in the event that the original set of a given kind isn't working anymore.
Requirements
The upgrade of items in WoW lets players increase the item level of weapons, equipment and trinkets above their current level of item using specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor resources. These upgrades boost the stats of items and some have special effects. (For example Dolphin's grace grants swimmers a dolphin-like grace). The process of upgrading can be a bit difficult however, it's a simple process. The player selects the item that he would like to upgrade and then clicks the Upgrade button. A window will open with the different upgrades that are available for that item. This window will display the upgrade level, the upgrade type bonus (such a Tech Points or a Quality Chance) and the cost of upgrading. The upgrade type bonus will be shown below the bar which shows the upgrade level.
If the player decides to make an upgrade, the item will be brought to the NPC who upgraded the item, who will explain the procedure for upgrading the item. The player will then have to provide the appropriate currency to make the upgrade, and may be required to provide additional materials should they require it. These requirements are based on the item's level and the weapon's requirements are typically higher requirements than armor.
In addition to the required upgrade components, many upgrade recipes come with an 'Acceptable Materials' list. This list shows what other upgrade components can be used on the item, and also includes a flag indicating whether that item has a guaranteed boost or extra effect. It is important to be aware because the value of an upgraded item can vary significantly depending on the extras it has, with perfectly roll gear worth a lot more than the non-upgraded versions.
The list of upgrades that require valorstones or crests will be shown in a separate list below the main list. The number of crests and the valorstones needed depends on the item's level. Weapon upgrades require the most Valorstones.
